Earthly gifts.
In spring 2010 Raphael Senzamici planted a garden. What he got in return was a gift. Along with
bushels of tomatoes, potatoes , carrots, cabbages and courgettes were all the weeds he never planned.
There was the dirt field that became a community gathering spot. Nightly watering that became a family affair. Harvesting that was always a surprise. And meals that were just more meaningful.
Something as simple as a tomato became sublime.
What started as a garden had grown into an earthly gift.
